SMPS DC Partners with Local Nonprofit Inscape Publico
SMPS DC is excited to announce our partnership with local nonprofit Inscape Publico. Our Community Outreach committee is currently assisting Inscape Publico with their upcoming Social Impact Design Celebration on November 2. Throughout the upcoming year, the SMPS DC Community Outreach committee and other SMPS DC chapter volunteers will provide a wide range of strategic marketing support for this nonprofit making a difference in the DC community.
Who is Inscape Publico?
Inscape Publico is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit architecture firm that provides professional architecture services for other nonprofits to help jump-start nonprofit projects. Inscape Publico provides envisioning workshops and detailed schematic design packages, allowing the nonprofits they work with the ability to leverage and expedite millions of dollars of funding for projects. Inscape Publico serves more than 14,000 people and provides an average of 2,000 hours of pro bono architecture services annually.
What is the Social Impact Design Celebration?
The Social Impact Design Celebration (SIDC) recognizes those who have demonstrated passion, leadership, and excellence in the field of Social Impact Design for the greater Washington, DC region. All funds support Inscape Publico’s design services on behalf of their nonprofit clients and allows them to provide more than $150,000 of in-kind design services to more than ten nonprofits annually. The celebration will be held November 2, 2016 from 6:30pm-9:30pm at The Wonder Bread Factory. For more information on SIDC, or to purchase tickets to the event, please visit http://www.inscapepublico.org/sidc/
