bootcamp-300x222.jpgThe most immediate way to show your credentials in professional service marketing is by becoming a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM). Based on SMPS’s six Domains of Practice, the certification represents your understanding of a broad range of information, challenges and activities that marketing professionals confront everyday. From research and planning to client relationships and project delivery, the professional services marketer is responsible for leading his/her team through complex processes, and CPSM certification indicates your achievement in attaining these skills.

This year, SMPSDC has revamped its CPSM study group to help you prepare to take the exam. The course is based on the new Marketing Handbook for the Design and Construction Professional (Building News, 2009), and it is designed to be interactive, engaging, and even fun.

Besides preparing you for the exam and providing you a support group to help you through the process, the CPSM Bootcamp will also put you face to face with our region’s leading marketing minds. You will be part of a cohort of classmates from whom you will learn and with whom you will build relationships that go beyond simple networking and only come from going through the preparation process together. You will also gain the insight of six presenters who will share their knowledge about each of the Domains of Practice as they help you prepare. You will learn best practices, brainstorm new ways of working, and develop new techniques to bring back to your team.

The course runs for eight weeks on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 pm at RTKL’s Washington, DC office. The course is open to members only, and it is limited to 20 participants. The class costs $100. Please join us on Tuesday, February 15th for our first session.
