A wise man once said, “Be the Ball, Danny.”

Players at the Be the Ball Golf Tournament seized this advice and had a great time at the Caddyshack-themed tournament. In its 7th year, the SMPS DC golf tournament brought players from all facets of the AEC industry onto the beautiful green at 1757 as they channeled their inner Caddyshack golfer and avoided the pesky gopher.

This years’ first place award went to Family Team Gregg, consisting of Katie Gregg (Keast & Hood), Andrew Gregg (The Penrose Group), and Mark Gregg (The Penrose Group).

Other winners of the day included:

  • 2nd Place – Team Hensel Phelps (Brian Skipper; Tony Scott; Brad Lewis; Dwayne Jones)
  • 3rd Place – Scott Cullen (Hanscomb Consulting); Joseph Plumbe (Studio 39) and Alex Miller (Studio39)
  • Longest Drive – Kyle Veater (David M. Schwartz Architects) and Sarah Daniels (Turner Construction)
  • Closest to the Pin – Chetna Sinha (Turner Construction)
