Let’s Get To It…..

What inspired you to join SMPS and what are you hoping to get out of your membership?

I was encouraged to join by my firm. I hope to make valuable, long-lasting connections and learn as much as I can.

What has been the most valuable part of your membership so far?

The many, many resources and opportunities to learn new skills and connect with my peers in the AEC industry.

What has been your favorite SMPS DC or SMPS event?

Build Business 2019

What part of the SMPS mission to Advocate, Educate, and Connect most resonates with you and why?

Educate – I firmly believe that you should never stop being a student, and SMPS offers such a vast amount of resources for members to learn and further their careers.

What’s the most valuable thing you’ve learned through SMPS (an event, speaker, or fellow member)?

I learned so much at Build Business this year, with one of my main takeaways being the importance of creating value- whether it’s for a client, your team, or for yourself.

Best work-related advice you’ve ever gotten?

“You know more than you think.”

Who is your professional idol? Why? (Can be a big celebrity name or someone you’ve worked with or anywhere in between.)

Ina Garten is the ultimate girl boss – she writes, hosts a show, ran a business, and even worked for the White House and flipped houses in DC!
