On June 20^th SMPS DC hosted its 2^nd annual Summer Celebration at RTKL’s office on 2101 L Street NW. The outdoor patio was a perfect location for this year’s event as guests had great views into the design firm’s cool interior space.

The Rising Star Award

Congratulations to Virginia O'Meara with Pons & Associates our 2013 Rising Star!

This award is given to a Chapter member with less than five years of experience in the industry who has shown dedication to the DC Chapter through committee involvement and has the potential to become one of the industry’s shining stars. The award is presented annually and is voted on by the membership.

Ginny Solomon Golden Tuba Award

Congratulations to Tracey Allen with ECS who received The Ginny Solomon Golden Tuba Award.

Open to a Chapter member who has made a significant contribution to the marketing of professional services and whose accomplishments set the standards for excellence. Nominations for this prestigious award are accepted annually, and a winner is determined by the Board of Directors

Every year the Chapter recognizes the outstanding efforts and commitment of the membership. Our awards programs honor marketers from all sectors of the A/E/C community and at all levels of experience.

President’s Award

Congratulations to Joe Monahan with Alpha Corporation who received the President’s Award.

This award honors a board member for outstanding service to the Chapter.

New Heights Volunteer Service Award

The New Heights Awards honors committee members who have taken responsibility for major committee efforts. Each committee chair can select one committee member to receive this recognition at our annual end of the year meeting and awards program. The 2012/2013 recipients include:
