Let’s Get To It……
What got you into the AEC industry and what keeps you here?
The love of helping people use technology, the love of design process, and the hospitality industry.
When and why did you first join SMPS, and what keeps you coming back?
In the early 1990’s and coming back for the great, friendly, and interesting members.
What advice do you have for our newer SMPS DC members about getting the most out of their membership?
Get involved with a committee.
What has been your favorite SMPS DC or SMPS event?
Holiday parties
What part of the SMPS mission to Advocate, Educate, and Connect most resonates with you and why?
The Educate part of the mission, since our design discipline is so obscure to most designers.
What is your favorite SMPS DC memory?
One of the holiday parties, however it was so good, I can’t remember what happened! A great second would be when the SMPS Annual Conference was here in Washington, DC.
Best work-related advice you’ve ever gotten?
“Don’t write to be misunderstood, write to be understood.”
