The theme of Build Business Conference 2017 was “Build Yourself. Build Your Firm. Build the World.” Jessica Gillette is excited to bring back that message as part of her Pay-It-Forward Grant experience! The conference had a lot of dynamic programming this past year, and the way Jessica is bringing back the best of Build Business is no different. Please join her for an interactive scavenger hunt through the beautiful DC Sculpture Garden.

What You'll Learn

You’ll meet three SMPS VIPs that are eager to tell you about their experience at Build Business and SMPS journeys. Following the scavenger hunt, we’ll have lunch in the Garden where you can continue to get to know these VIPs, as well as your industry peers.

Who are the VIPs?

Build Yourself.
SMPS DC President Pipper Mosley, CPSM, will be sharing leadership and productivity tips to live by that she gleamed while at Build Business, as well as those already in her arsenal. Productivity is key to Pipper’s role as a business development professional at Michael Baker International. She will also share how you can be involved in the success of our Chapter.

Build Your Firm.
SMPS President Nancy Usrey is the perfect VIP to discuss building your firm. She leads HNTB’s design build strategy in the transportation market. She’ll discuss business development strategies and how the Build Business conference continues to teach her new things that can be applied to her endeavors and her leadership role in SMPS.

Build the World.
SMPS CEO Michael Geary, CAE, holds a crucial vision and role in the success of SMPS. He’ll discuss his responsibilities at the conference and how he’s building the ideal SMPS world - Business Transformed through Marketing Leadership.
