Site Tour

Come join SMPS DC on a tour led by PGP Development of Capitol Crossing. With its expansive decking over an active highway to its innovative design with the environment in mind, it is a development unlike anything the District has seen before. It is a project that will write an exciting new chapter in the history of Washington, DC. History doesn't wait and neither should you!

What You'll Learn

The development creates three new city blocks supporting 2.2 million square feet of new mixed-use space in five buildings and reconnects the Union Station neighborhood to downtown DC. Innovative design with the environment in mind is just one of the ways Capitol Crossing is making it possible for more people to work and live in the city.

Capitol Crossing establishes the first eco-district in Washington, DC – superseding the highest level of the world’s premier benchmark for high-performance green building – by achieving beyond LEED platinum certification. It creates thousands of jobs, $40 million per year in new tax revenue, spurs economic growth, revitalizes the community, and enriches the city’s rich religious and cultural history.
