Join us to learn best practices on dissecting an RFP and producing a successful response! Reading an RFP can be overwhelming! Deciphering the proposal requirements and evaluation criteria can be even harder. Don’t let RFPs stress you out.

This program will take you step-by-step through dissecting the RFP and developing a comprehensive outline that addresses all of the proposal requirements, evaluation criteria, consultants, deliverables and pursuit calendar. Our speaker, Jen McGovern, will break down typical RFP sections and review sample public sector RFPs for AEC, design-build and P3 services. Then, the class will be broken into small groups to participate in an RFP Scavenger Hunt and develop a proposal outline together. Finally, Jen will share best practices to responding to RFPs, including how to be more compliant in your responses.

Background

Jen McGovern, CPSM, is the Mid-Atlantic Regional Marketing Manager for VHB in Vienna, VA. With extensive editing, writing, and marketing experience, she fell into the AEC industry in 2012 and found a passion for proposals and infrastructure projects. A member of SMPS Washington, DC, Jen serves on the Career Advancement Committee, co-leads the CPSM Bootcamp study group, and leads the Northern Virginia Market Share program. She achieved her CPSM certification in 2015.
