Help SMPS DC Support Wreaths Across America Clean-up

Arlington National Cemetery

Memorial Drive, Arlington, VA 22211

3:30 am - 6:30 am

Community Outreach

Join SMPS DC as we support the Wreaths Across America Clean-Up at Arlington National Cemetery. The wreath laying event in December was a huge success and now is the time when WAA really needs our help removing the wreaths and restoring the grounds after the holidays. Involve your friends and family in a rewarding opportunity to honor our service men and women, and their families.

What You'll Learn

Our group will gather at McClellan Arch between 8-8:30am for a quick briefing before the clean-up begins. Dress for the weather and consider bringing a lawn rake, pole, or rope to help carry more wreaths.

What to Bring:

  • Water
  • Snacks to hold you through brunch if you plan on attending
  • Weather appropriate clothing to keep you warm/dry
  • Gloves
  • Something to support carrying multiple wreaths per dumpster trip, like a stick, pole, rope, and/or rake.

We are organizing a brunch at 11:30am in Arlington/Clarendon for our members and their guests to regroup and network following the event. Please indicate on your registration if you are interested and how many people would be attending. We will reach out to those expressing interest via email with further details.

This event is open to all ages. Please feel free to bring friends and family members to contribute to this great cause.
