Join SMPS DC on December 6th at Prequel for our LocalMotive Holiday Party and Fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Inn at NIH, a local charity helping families in need stay on track this holiday season. All aboard for a good cause!

We will kick off the event with networking, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a raffle and silent auction giving guests a chance to bid on exclusive items.

The SMPS DC chapter is excited to continue our relationship with The Children’s Inn at NIH and will be contributing our proceeds from the raffle and silent auction to their cause.

The Children’s Inn at NIH is a residential “place like home” for sick children and their families. Kids come from across the country and around the world to stay together with their families in The Inn’s healing environment while receiving groundbreaking medical treatments at the NIH, the world’s leading biomedical research center. While the NIH takes care of the child’s medical needs, The Inn tends to the child’s heart, soul, and spirit.

Earn a free raffle ticket!

SMPS DC will be collecting new and unused non-perishable food items to help stock the Help Yourself Pantry at The Children’s Inn. Attendees who brings more than five itemswill receive one free raffle ticket (limit one ticket per attendee). Items most in need include:

  • Tuna cracker kits
  • Canned fruit, fruit cups, dried fruit, raisin/craisin boxes
  • Cereal in single-serve boxes
  • Individual-sized snacks, especially healthy snacks (applesauce, granola bars, pretzels, pudding, Jell-O, etc.)
  • International Food
  • Shelf-stable food & reduced-fat milk, Horizon milks (regular, vanilla and chocolate)
  • Juice boxes, bottled water
  • Cooking essentials (spices, olive oil, non-stick cooking spray, etc.)
  • Nutella, Nutella kits
  • Condiments: mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, honey, syrup, agave, BBQ sauce
  • Long grain white rice, regular brown rice
