Community Outreach

Help the Community Outreach Committee give back to our local community by participating in our “Family Dinner” at The Children’s Inn at NIH. We will prepare and serve a themed dinner for 50 children and their families currently staying at The Inn from around the globe. The Children’s Inn is a caring place to be – a place to unwind and connect with other families that are also undergoing serious medical care. These dinners allow the families to enjoy time together while alleviating the worries of transportation, grocery shopping, and the hassle of preparing a meal after a long day of traveling or treatments.

What You'll Learn

This is a rewarding opportunity for SMPS members to help families in need through the comfort of a home-cooked meal. You'll have a chance to interact with the children and families while also meeting fellow SMPS members.
